  1. I appreciate reading your poster and thinking about how cross-cultural roommates navigate their differences. As a Communication scholar, I would be interested in the next step and explore how you would advise cross-cultural roommates communcate in ways that will positively influence forming successful relations? How do roommates best interact to manage needs for independence, private time, and space? This is especially challenging when college roommates are usually living in very small, non-private spaces. We are so grateful for the work that you have done with your Capstone professors this semester; you hung in there and finished up your project. Wishing you all the best! If you are graduating this semester, congratulations and please keep in touch with us, you are always a CommHusker! Dr. Dawn O. Braithwaite, Department Chair, Communication Studies

  2. I wonder how the roommate experience could change based on years living together or when in a student's college career they have a cross-cultural roommate. How is the experience different for freshman vs. seniors or for those who have been living together longer? Congratulations on finishing your capstone! Sarah, Academic Advisor

  3. Hi Xianwen,
Thank you for exploring the relational dimension between international students and domestic student. It's important to share the results with university housing. In the conclusion of your research, I wonder how you define "cultural differences" in your study! I'd love to learn more details of your work!

  4. Thank you for your interesting study! I am wondering how these results compare to those students who are assigned to intracultural roommate arrangements. That is, would all students have similar experiences as these students who were in an intercultural arrangement? Your study definitely generates questions for future research!
